WELCOME
The board of IADR-CED and the organization committee is proud to announce the 46th Meeting of the Continental European Division to be held at the Congress Palace in Florence-Italy, September 4-7, 2013.
The congress will build on the steady successes of the previous meetings of IADR-CED which attracted attendees from more than 20 Countries.
The CED-IADR board will put together a multidisciplinary program to attract a high number of dental scientists as well as practitioners from all around the world.
The venue, Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance, is a fascinating city and is one of the best location for joint science, new knowledge and personal life. Surrounded by Tuscan hills and bridging the Arno River, it is one of the world’s most beautiful urban cities. It contains more great artworks per square metre than any other city in the world. It is small and you can walk across the city’s historic centre in 20 minutes. In addition to historic sites and world-renowned museums, Florence will charm you with its picturesque parks, fruit and vegetable markets, street fairs, artisan shops, cafés and trattorie. Florence can be easily reached by airplane; Florence Vespucci airport is close to downtown and also the airports at Pisa and Rome are not so far.
The meeting will consist of two half and two full days (starting on Wednesday afternoon and closing at Saturday noon) of plenary lectures, symposia, oral and poster sessions, and will include a Welcome Reception on the evening of Thursday, September 5th in “Palazzo Vecchio” into “Sala dei Cinquecento” and a Banquet on the evening of Friday, September 6th into “Palazzo Pitti”.
The program, featuring internationally recognized researchers from throughout continental Europe and beyond, is likely to be of high interest to the whole European and even worldwide dental research community, whether representing university institutes or dental industry. In addition, the Italian Academic Organization (“Collegio dei Docenti”) and the Italian Association of Dental Schools (“Conferenza Permanente dei Presidenti di Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Odontoiatria e Protesi Dentaria”) have already agreed to officially support the 46th CED-IADR Meeting in Florence. We hope to welcome about 2000 participants, knowing that meetings in Italy are generally well attended.
The CED-IADR meetings have always been successful due to the quality of the speakers, its high-level fundamental as well as clinically relevant scientific content, and the generous sponsorship provided by our corporate partners.
We look forward to seeing you in Florence in 2013!
